Beach Centerpiece: Message In A Bottle

April 6, 2018

The inspiration for this idea came from the romantic Message in Bottle often seen in movies.

The bottles.  There are easily found at your local craft and hobby store. Glass Bottles like these come empty ready to be filled or pre-made.

For personalization, add your own messages.

Consider sending a filled bottle with a message home with guests after a wedding reception.

Choose a base for your centerpiece – either wood, mirror or pedestal and layer in aquarium gravel. We’re building this mock-up on our wood base.

Driftwood and found shells – either on the beach or popped into a handbasket at the craft store – provide depth and texture to your centerpiece.

Add the lights!

Now it’s time to get the party started!

Expand on the rustic feel of your beach theme with mellow Edison bulbs and medium base cords. We love them in both indoor and outdoor spaces, whether on a patio, filling a dining room fixture, or lighting a wedding tent.
