Four Ways to Add More Green to Your St. Patrick’s Day

March 9, 2017

We’re not sure how it happens, but the middle of March approaches and suddenly everyone is adding a little more green to their life and researching their ancestry to find how Irish they are! If you are planning a celebration of St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, here are a few ideas to help bring a bit of cheer.

1.Create a table setting that even your little leprechauns will enjoy.

The hat, garland and gold coins were purchased inexpensively at a dollar store. Combine those with dishes you already own, add a cupcake and you are ready to party!

2. Make a fun wreath for your door with our instructions here.

3. Add strings of white or green mini-lights to your table, mantle or windows.

It’s very simple to add a strand of lights to most any project. For table centerpieces, use battery lights to add drama and sparkle when you don’t want the hassle of a cord.

4. Start your St. Paddy’s Day with a bit o’ green for breakfast.

We love these Shamrock Eggs we found on Pinterest from reluctantentertainer.com. Look for green peppers that most resemble a shamrock. You may even want to pull out your old copy of Dr. Seuss’ “Green Eggs and Ham” and have a little story time.

Try one of these projects for your celebration on March 17 and don’t forget to add the corned beef and cabbage!
