Get this Look: Multicolor Parade Lights

Materials

No need to use and inverter for a parade. This project uses LED light strings that have a male accessory plug compatible with most vehicle accessory outlets. (Or in older cars, the cigarette lighter!)

Zip ties are a great choice to install these strings on trailers and parade floats of all styles. Up to 30 sets of the lit portion of these light strings can be run in series.

For installation directly on a vehicle, we like low-adhesive painter’s tape for a short term installation like this.

After the parade is over, use them to light a wreath mounted to a front grill. Power them with a marine 12 volt battery, or similar, to light remote areas with no access to an electrical outlet.
