Help! Half the lights in my string went out – what should I do?

March 13, 2014

Today’s Question comes from a gentleman who hasn’t ordered lights from us but emailed in a question that we see from time to time – here’s our answer!

From Fernando in Miami:

Hi there! Half of my light set went off. The fuse is okay. What can be the reason? Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

More than likely, your mini light set is constructed in two circuits and somewhere in the half that is out, you have a bulb that has become unseated or has fallen out.

Or the socket has been damaged.

Without removing and replacing each bulb check the side that’s out and snug in each bulb.

If this measure doesn’t work, the issue might be a break in the wiring. This can be caused by squirrel damage, environmental exposure or storage in an attic after a long, hot summer.

Hope that helps!!
