National Hamburger Day

May 26, 2017

If you research the origin of the hamburger, you will find many people who claim to have invented or served the first one. What started out as a basic meat patty between two buns has now become everything from a fast food option to gourmet fare. We salute the hamburger on its very own day!

I took a little poll around the Christmas Light Source office to find out what the staff picks were for their favorite burger:

Shellie: Rodeo Goat – Real cheddar with bacon, sautéed onions, mustard and all the fixings

Dave: Lily’s Bistro – Three cheese burger on sour dough with bacon

Genny: Chapp’s – Mushroom Burger with swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, cut the mayo and onion

Obviously there are many great burger joints in Texas. What’s your favorite burger? And yes, we do want fries with that!
