Orange Balls- A Family Favorite

December 21, 2017

If you want to bring a dessert to a Christmas party that will make you famous, this is it.

Our family enjoys these every Christmas. We could make them anytime, but somehow we wait, anticipating them. I don’t remember the first time I had them but I knew I loved them. My cousins are the same way, they look for my mom to come in with the metal tin holding these every Christmas morning. Enjoy!

  • 1 12 oz box vanilla wafers crushed (we only use Nilla brand)
  • 1 Cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/4 Cup of butter
  • 1 small can of orange juice concentrate-thawed
  • 3/4 Cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 Cup of coconut
  • a small bowl of extra powdered sugar for the coating

Combine all the ingredients, refrigerate for 30 minutes to stiffen, shape into balls, and roll in the powdered sugar coating. Store in the freezer.

So. Very. Easy.

Isn’t that what we all need this time of year?

Make this and share you thoughts in the comments. We want to see your photos!!
