Since 2008, Christmas Light Source has accepted and recycled lights for customers from all over the country.

Each December all the proceeds from recycling are converted to toys and books and delivered to the Arlington, TX Toys for Tots warehouse.

Lights that are destined to end up in a landfill become books and toys for kids in need

We continued that tradition last year and look forward to what the program will bring in 2014.

In 2013, we were able to purchase just under $1000 worth of books and toys to make Christmas brighter for kids in the area.  By shopping at Half Price Books, their new items had a retail value of over $2000 – we like to maximize every dollar.

We kept them busy at the register.
